Winners of the ITE Logo Contest. Congratulations to Tamara Zdvorak and Jane Bierstedt of Fehr & Peers! Their logo design, featuring the San Francisco skyline and the Golden Gate Bridge, has been selected to represent the Western District Annual Meeting in 2010. The Section will be honoring the winning design team with an award of $500 at a future ITE meeting. Many thanks to everyone who participated by submitting a logo design; with so many creative and exceptional designs to choose from, it was both a joy and a challenge to be on the judging committee.

On behalf of the Local Arrangements Committee and the San Francisco Bay Area Section, I proudly announce the 2010 Western District Annual Meeting to be held June 27-30, 2010, in San Francisco, California.

The planning for this event is currently underway. Thanks to all those that attended our first two LAC meetings, either in person or via phone. The next meeting will be in October 2008. To volunteer for the Local Arrangements Committee (LAC) or receive notice of upcoming meetings, please contact me at mes@dksassociates.com.

We will host our conference from Sunday June 27- Wednesday June 30, 2010 at the Palace Hotel in downtown San Francisco. In addition to providing ample opportunities for networking, sightseeing, and socializing, the LAC will be working on a high-quality technical program that will include multiple technical tracks, training workshops, and several tours.
