2007 ITE Awards Program

The winners of the second annual ITE Awards program were announced at the ITE Meeting in November 2007. The main objective behind the Awards Program is to recognize exceptional projects and individuals in the field of transportation in the past year. The Awards Program directors used an online survey for accepting nominations for the categories of Transportation Project of the Year and Transportation Professional of the Year. A selection committee composed of 10 transportation professionals representing the public and private sector evaluated the nominated projects on the basis of innovation, challenges faced, cost-effectiveness, and public acceptance.
