Declaration of Glenn M. Grigg Day
Whereas Glenn is a regular fixture at ITE SF Bay Area Section monthly luncheons and has strongly supported attendance from employees of the City of Cupertino; Whereas Glenn has provided warmth and cheer to all ITE meetings and conferences he has attended through the strength of his character and sense of humor; Whereas Glenn is known throughout the industry for his saying that “Traffic Engineering revolves around splits, offsets, and cycle lengths;” Whereas Glenn has always been a top-notch boss, supportive of his staff’s needs and education endeavors, whether in transportation, life skills, or career development; Whereas Glenn, while officially “retired,” is now widely appreciated for his current role as “consultant to the consultants” with a special affinity for projects requiring field trips to the “wine country;” Whereas District 6 and the Institute of Transportation Engineers can never express all its gratitude and thanks to Glenn for his ongoing commitment to our organization’s success; Now therefore be it resolved, that on February 16, 2006, the President of ITE District 6 and the officers of the ITE SF Bay Area Section declare Glenn M. Grigg Day to recognize Glenn for his significant contributions to the Institute, and gratefully acknowledge his efforts toward advancing the transportation engineering profession.
