Thursday, January 19, 2006

Transit-related studies including Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), Light Rail Transit (LRT) and Multimodal Transit Terminals are becoming increasing popular. Tools to evaluate traffic networks with transit operation are a vital necessity. This session presents an overview of the existing traffic simulation models (AIMSUN and VISSIM), demonstrating the applicability of each in transit-related simulation.

We have gathered a panel of experts to talk to us about the software capabilities, hands-on experiences, lessons learned and helpful tips. Brief presentations will be followed by a question-and-answer session.
