The next ITE meeting will feature a presentation on the Bay Area’s 2007 Transportation Project of the Year as well as a tribute to the ITE/SBTOA Transportation Professional of the Year, to be announced publicly at the meeting.

INVITED SPEAKERS:

SEAN NOZZARI, Deputy District Director, Traffic Operations, Caltrans District 4, and
BARRY LOO, Office Chief, Traffic Management, Caltrans District 4.

The 2007 ITE/SBTOA Project of the Year is the integrated corridor Transportation Management Plan (TMP), facilitated by Caltrans' Emergency Operations Center and multi-modal, multi-jurisdictional response, which was developed and put into action in response to the MacArthur Maze Meltdown.

This project prevented the traffic congestion that had been expected after the disaster, benefiting thousands of Bay Area residents and visitors and providing major time and cost savings throughout the region.

The MacArthur Maze TMP was a triumph of transportation engineering. Come to the next ITE meeting and find out how they did it!

Don't forget, you'll also get the chance to meet the 2007 ITE/SBTOA Transportation Professional of the Year!
