CALL FOR SECTION OFFICER CANDIDATES
Nominations and Candidate Statements Due May 3rd by 5:00 PM

We appreciate your interest in running for Section Officer of the San Francisco Bay Area Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers.  This Section provides frequent opportunities for intellectual growth and interaction among members of the transportation profession.  Activities include topical lunch meetings and technical workshops, monthly email announcements, and social gatherings.  In addition, this Section supports student organizations in the region and is actively involved in preparing to host the Western District ITE Meeting, which is to take place in San Francisco in the Summer of 2010.  Participation by officers and board members is crucial for keeping the Section active and vital.  Elected Officers will begin their one-year term on July 1, 2010.

In order to run for one of the Officer positions, you are asked to do the following:

  1. Complete the Nomination Form, including signatures of 5 people who support your nomination. If submitting via e-mail, please scan and submit the signed nomination form in .PDF format.
  2. Submit a one-page Candidate Statement, summarizing your background, current employment (if any) and goals should you be elected to an Officer position. A passport-sized photo is also recommended on the Candidate Statement. Please submit the candidate statement in Microsoft Word format.
  3. Submit the Nomination Form and Candidate Statement by 5:00 PM on May 3, 2010, via email or US mail to:

Voting will take place from May 12 to June 16, 2010 and election results announced at the June 17th Annual Business Meeting.
